Edgar Buchanan is Notable.

Best known as "Uncle Joe" from the 1960's TV series Petticoat Junction

William Edgar Buchanan was born in Humansville, Missouri in 1903. He was the son of William, a dentist, and Rose Buchanan. ^[1][2]

He received a commission in the US Army Dental Reserves in 1929. ^[3]

Edgar married Mildred Spence. ^[4][1]

He died in Palm Desert, California in 1979.^[5][1]

He is interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills, California.^[6]
