June Buchanan was a co-founder, with Alice Lloyd of Caney Junior College in Pippa Passes, Kentucky; the school was to become a four-year college and was renamed as Alice Lloyd College.^[1]

June Buchanan was born on 21 Jun 1887 in Moravia, Cayuga, New York, United States, daughter of Frank Buchanan (~1860–1935) and Julia McCormick (~1865–1946).^[2]
