Biography

Richard, son of James & Mary, was born in 1841 and was baptised on 2 January 1842 in Gorleston with Southtown, Suffolk, Suffolk, England.[1]

In the 1851 census Richard (age 9) was the son of James Brunning in Lowestoft Road, Gorleston, Mutford, Suffolk & Norfolk, England. Also in the household were his mother Mary and sister Elizabeth aged 6.[2]

Richard married Mary Ann Turner in Great Yarmouth, St Nicholas, Norfolk, England. Richard was recorded as being a bachelor aged 26 whilst Mary was described as a widow, aged 21.[3]Their marriage, was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1867 in the Yarmouth district.[4]

In the 1871 census Richard (age 29) was in Audley Street, Great Yarmouth, Yarmouth, Norfolk, England.[5]
