Biography

might have been born in Osterbrook, Germany which is now Emsland, Weser-Ems, Niedersachsen, Germany. Census says Hanover, Germany. Arrived at New York Port on 24Sep1866 aboard the Bremen Bark Atlantic ship at 15 years old. The ship departed Bremen, Germany. Franks first wife was Mary E Keiling. The1900 census has she had 13 children but only 3 were living. I was told she died during child birth. His second wife, Helen R. McAllister had 3 children, Francis, Carl, and Rita. Frank owned a grocery store and lived above it on 4057 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA. He was also the director of the PA Savings Bank and Western Savings in 1907 through around 1918.
