Biography

Baldwin de Brugge of Brydges, probably born some time around 1324, was son of John de Brugge and his wife, Sara. ^[1]

His wife is said to have been Isabel de Grandison, daughter of Piers de Grandison ^[1]and by extension his wife, Blanche Mortimer.^[2] However it is not certain that Piers and Blanche had any children since in 1376 the heirs of the Barony of Grandison after the death of the fourth Baron, were found to be among the descendants of the daughters of the first Baron. No mention is made of the de Brugge family. ^[3]

Baldwin's children are given as John ^[1] and Thomas ^[4]

He is said to have died after 1368. ^[2]
