Edward Pozieres Bruen, Bob to everyone he knew, was born on 15th January 1918 in Moree, New South Wales, Australia. He was the younger son of Herbert Reginald Bruen and Ellen Maude Law. [1]
Bob served in the Second Australian Imperial Force during the Second World War, in 11th Division Provost Company; enlisting on 29th July 1942 and was discharged on 25th March 1946. [2]
Bob married Gweneth Evans in the Sydney Registry Office, on 1st April 1950 - April Fools Day. [3] They made their home in Epping, a northern suburb of Sydney. They had three children: [4]
Bob and Gwen retired to Taree, on the New South Wales North Coast. Bob passed away, aged 81 years, on 13th March 1999 in Taree and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Leppington, New South Wales. [5]
