Note NI2416Henry Loudon Brown was just a boy when his family moved, by coveredwagon, from Bedford County, Virginia, to Bedford County, Tennessee. They may have been influenced to make this move by their relatives, Shadrach Brown and his wife, Tabitha; who had made the same move earlier in the century. Louise Brown Usher, a grandaughter of Henry, remembered his description of the meteorite shower, which occurred the night of 13 November 1833, and which the family witnessed in the Appalachian Mountains on the trip to Tennessee.

Henry L. Brown was a farmer and lived near Shelbyville, Tennessee.
