Fred was the coachman for Maine Governor James G Blaine for many years, and later was a night watchman for the Maine State House..^[1]

In the 1880 census Fred (age 40), Hostler, was the married head of household in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine, United States. Wife Julia, 6 children (2 step).^[2]

In the 1900 census F, Night Watchman, was the married head of household in Augusta, Kennebec, Wife Julia, 3 daughters.Maine.^[3]

Fred was living in Augusta, Maine when his daughter Harriet passed away in 1912.^[4]

Frederick died (age 77) in 1919 in Maine, United States.^[5]
