Jim Brown Sr. was an Alaskan.

James was born in 1938 in Redlands, San Bernardino County, California.^[1] He was the son of James Chester Brown (1897–Deceased) and Ethel Feller (1898–Deceased).

The 1940 Census^[2] shows him at age 2 in the home of his parents with one older brother in San Gorgonio Judicial Township, Riverside, California.

The 1950 Census^[3] shows him at age 11 in the home of his divorced mother in Redlands, San Bernardino County, California.

Jim called Alaska home for many years, relishing the scenery and the opportunity to fly his own plane over it.^[4]

He owned Jim Brown Construction in Anchorage, Alaska for years.

He died in 2023 in Anchorage, Alaska
