Biography

Phoebe Brown was born on 14 Jun 1829 in Sproughton, Suffolk, England ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]} and baptised on 3 May 1837 at the Baptist Meeting House, Dairy Lane, Ipswich. ^[6]

She lived in St Matthew, Ipswich, Suffolk, England in 1841 ^{[5] [7]} and in Great Bromley, Essex, England (with her older sister Hannah) in 1851. ^[8] In 1861 she was living in Ipswich St Margaret, Suffolk, England ^[3] but in 1871 she was head of the household in Plumstead, Kent, where her sister Jane and her family were also living. ^[9]
