Biography

John was born about 1830.

He married Jane McClure in 1857. ^[1]

For the 1870 census he is living with wife and four children in Ohio. Also living in the home are two women (Susan Brown and Rebecca Brown), perhaps his sisters. ^[2]

His wife died in Nov 1870.

In 1880 he is a widow living with three youngest children (all teenagers) in Ohio. ^[3]
