Biography

Captain John Paulding Brown was born July 30, 1893 in Dutchess cuonty, New York, a son of James Stuart Brown and Dr. Elizabeth Stow. John was an officer During World War I, from 1917 to 1919. John was an assistant to the General Council War Production Board, during World War II, from 1942 to 1945. ^[1]

Captain John Paulding died November 23, 1968, at the age of 75 years and is buried in the Rhinebeck Cemetery, in Dutchess county, New York. There is a photograph of John in his military uniform on his Find A Grave memorial. ^[2]

John Pawling Pawling-54 was a member of the Dutchess County, New York Associators. John's descendant, John Paulding Brown is listed as a Son of the American Revolution, SAR 35543. He descends from John's daughter Eleanor, who married peter Brown, their son Sebastian Brown, who married Eliza Bard, their son, Peter Brown, who married Catherine Linden Green, and their son J. Stuart Brown, SAR 35546, who married Elizabeth Stow Brown. ^[3]
