Biography

Frances Brown(e) was born September 23, 1723, in Anne Arundel county, Maryland, a daughter of Mark Brown and Susannah Ijams. About 1745, Frances married Thomas Sappington, II a son of Thomas Sappington and Mary Rutland. Children of Frances and Thomas are:

Researcher's Notes

Mark Brown, Sr. wrote his Will on March 9, 1769, and it was proved in Anne Arundel county on June 23, 1769 ^[2] He bequeathed to his grandson Mark Brown Sappington, the eldest son of Captain Thomas Sappington and Frances his wife, the property known as "Neal's Delight" consisting of 270 acres. He left the balance of his estate to be divided between his daughters Frances Sappington and Alice Duvall.
