Biography

John Milton Bross was born in 1882. He was the son of Thomas Bross and Sarah Smith. Milton first appears in the 1900 census living in the household of his widowed mother, Sallie Bross, who is a widow. They reside in Hunt County, Texas. John is 17 years old and works as a Day Laborer. ^[1]

In 1910 Milton and wife Eula and their four children are living in Burleson, Texas. Also in the household are Sarah Bross, Milton's mother and his brother Guy R. Bross. ^[2]

In 1920 the family has moved to Milam County, Texas. John Milton is now farming as an occupation. He and Eula have nine children ranging in age from 13 down to 0 years old. ^[3] Still in Milam County, Texas in 1930, there are still nine children living in the household of John and Eula Bross. John is still farming and is 46 years old. ^[4]

John Milton Bross passed away 13 December 1943 and is buried in the Salem-Wilson Cemetery in Cameron, Milam County, Texas. ^[5]
