Alexander was born in 1897. He was the son of Joseph Brosovski and Rosetta Greenberg.

On 31 March 1901 Russian born Joseph Brosovski (32) Cigarette maker, wife Rosetta Brosovski (28) with children Sophia Brosovski (5) and Isaac Brosovski (3).lived at 30 Chatham Place, Hackney, London, England. [1]

On 2 April 1911 the Brosovsky family lived at 14 Elsdale St, St John-at-Hackney, London, England. [2] Russian born Joseph Brosovsky (40) Cigarette maker with wife Rose Brosovsky (37) married 17 years, and children Sophia Brosovsky (15), Alex Brosovsky (13), Harry Brosovsky (5) and step-mother in law, widow Jane Greenberg (74).

The Brosovski family emigrated from London, England on 9 February 1922 on board SS Berrima bound for Melbourne, Australia. [3] Upon their arrival their surname was Anglicised to Josephs.

Alexander Josephs married Ada Maud Woodley in Camberwell, Victoria, Australia in 1922. [4]

On 17 April 1942 London born Alexander Josephs listed in the Royal Australian Air Force, and served as a Corporal with the 13th Aircraft Repair Depot, Service Number 54117. He was discharged on 30 December 1944. [6]

He passed away in 1972, aged 75. [7]
