Daniel was born on 6 Sep 1764 in Lincoln, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[1] He was the son of John Brooks and Lucy (Hoar) Brooks.^[1]

He married Bathsheba Dakin.^[2]

He died on 22 Sep 1839 in Lincoln, Middlesex, Massachusetts. He was buried in Arborvitae Cemetery.^[3]
