Biography
Hugh Brooke was the third son of Joan (Braybroke) Brooke, heiress of Cobham manor, and her husband Thomas Brooke, from Ilchester Somerset. They had 15 children.
Hugh married Petronel (family name not given). They had two sons, William (who died without issue) and John. He is described by Hasted as the ancestor of the Brookes of Glastonbury Abbey and Barrowgrove, in Somerset. [1]
