  Know all Men by these presents that I Thomas Cooper Senr of the County of Rappahannock in Virginia, Planter, do hereby for a valuable consideration for a thousand pounds of tobacco already received, do hereby grant unto Richard Brisindan, Planter, in Virginia of the County aforesaid, a parcel of land being in the County of Rappahannock and in the Parish of South Farnham and on the South side of Piscattaway Creek, it being part of a Devident of land which I purchased of Majr George Morris deceased, & bounded beginning at ye Bridge, and so down along my spring Branch to the land of George Terner and so along the said Turner his line to the land of Arthur Hodges, so along the said Hodges line to a Path that wee goe to the said Arthur Hodges, and so along the Path to ye Bridge where we begun; I do hereby warrant the said Land unto the aforesaid Richard Brisindan his heirs or assignes to keep or possess and enjoy from me my heirs or assignes or any persons that shall lay any claime to any part thereunto; and hereby oblige myselfe my heirs to warrant the title of the land to the said Richard Brisindan his heirs and to give any further assurance that he shall desire; As Witness hereunto wee have set our hands & seals this tenth day of September, one thousand six hundred and ninety two.
