Ellen Cronin died on 15 Aug, 1955 (age 86) in Killarney, County Kerry. It was reported by her son Patrick. She was the widow of a laborer, from "Gortnagown" which is perhaps Gortnagane (Civil Parish of Kilcummin). Her death was registered in 1955 in the Killarney Superintendent Registrar's District.[6]
