Research Notes

There is some conflicting information between sources on James Breazeale and we may be combining multiple James' information. The evidence he is the son of Sarah Breazeale seems to be only based on previous family trees. I think the 1850 census and the 1880 census likely represent the same person, I'm less confident these are the same person who is buried in Clinton, the birth year is off by about 4 years, the change in residence from Pickens to Laurens doesn't make sense, and the children from Find a Grave don't match the children on the 1880 Census. When saving, this warning popped up: "A birth date (Breazeale-145 born 5 Mar 1822) should not be within eight months of a sibling's birth date (Breazeale-95 born 27 Jul 1821) unless they are twins born within a day of each other.", another piece of evidence that his DOB was not in 1822. - Kathryn Black 4-Jan-2021
