Military 23 Nov 1914 • Holsworthy, New South Wales. Service No 703. Height - 5ft 10 1/2 inches, Weight 169 lbs. Assigned to the 6th Light Horse Regiment. Tattoo on right arm - "Advance Australia. Listed Calling - Horse Breaker. And they gave him a tin hat and they gave him a gun and they marched him away to the war.

Anzac Cove Gallipoli 25 Oct 1915 • Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey Landed with the 2nd Light Horse Regiment/2nd Battalion.

Wounded at Gallipoli 13 Nov 1915 • Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey Serious wound to right shoulder - treated at the 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance,

Shipped to Alexandria 19 Nov 1915 • Egypt Admitted 1st Australian Gen Hosp.

Discharged to unit 10 Dec 1915 • Cairo, Egypt 2nd Light Horse.

Field Hospital Admission 10 Feb 1916 • Abbassia, Egypt 4th Aux Hospital - Sick with the mumps. Discharged 22 Feb 1916.
