Biography

Miles Brayshaw was born in Addingham, Yorkshire, England.

Miles was born in Addingham, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, in 1856. He was the son of William Brayshaw, and Margaret Milarchy. He was one of at least nine children.

Miles married Margaret Ann Bottomly in 1883. The ceremony was performed on Mat 13th in Keighley at St Mary Eastwood. According to the Parish register, Miles was a twenty five year old bachelor and "Mechanic" residing in Eastwood. His father was named as William Brayshaw "Laborer". Margaret was a twenty four year old spinster residing in Eastwood. Her father was named as Joseph Bottomly "Mechanic". The witnesses were Paula and John Love. Miles and Margaret would have four children between 1886 and 1903. (In the 1911 census Margaret declared she had four children but one had died).

Miles passed away in Keighley in 1914. His death was registered in the first quarter. He was fifty eight.
