Biography

Henry was born about 1862.

Henry Bray was a highly respected member of the Cooma community involved in sports, the Volunteers (army reserve), local politics and committees. Henry was a Trustee of the Cooma Town Commons in 1898. He was elected as Alderman on the Municipal Council in 1902, then again in 1904. Henry worked as a builder / contractor in Cooma and surrounding area and constructed many private and public buildings, notably the Cooma Golf Club House (destroyed by fire in 1990), the Council Chambers in Dawson Street and Masonic Temple.

Henry married Christina McPhie in 1888. ^[1]
