Biography

Wesley was born in 1801. Spouse was likely Mary Ann "Polly" New. He passed away in 1874 and is buried at Lithonia City Cemetery in Lithonia, Georgia.

The 1850 census lists Wesley and Mary Brazil with all of their children: Jacob, William, John, Henry, Burrell, Sarah, Ephraim, Isaac L., Newton, Mary, Elijah, Derrill, and Martha.[1]

PLEASE BE ADVISED on this line of Wesley Braswell that the following link in this paragraph found on ancestry.com has WRONG information, The Wesley Braswell in said link below is given the wrong DOB and place of birth, the wrong mother and wrong Valentine as Father AND the wrong siblings. The only thing correct in said link below is that Wesley Braswell married Polly New and he died in Dekalb co GA.Bold text http://www.ancestry.com/genealogy/records/wesley-braswell_33821510 AGAIN, NOTICE to ALL that this link has BAD INFORMATION and I'm not even sure that line of Valentine and Nancy Journey Braswell has a Wesley Braswell on it. I believe that Wesley Braswell was just put into the wrong line on many Websites out there from research conducted decades ago without proof for it.

David, Wesley and Derrill Braswell (all children of Valentine Braswell and Elizabeth Davenport) all each have DNA participant ancestors that match each other to prove they are all brothers and papertrails prove their parents as stated.[2]
