Biography
Margaret Brashears was born about 1768 in Maryland. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Brashears and Rachel Green.[1]
On December 12, 1794, she married Fielder Cross, in Prince George's County, Maryland.[1][2][3][4] They had seven children - Rachel, Truman, Mary Ann, Osbourn, Richard, Elizabeth, and Dennis.
In 1800, the Cross Prince George's household included Fielder, a female, aged 16-25 (likely Margaret), as well as four children under 10 (2M, 2F), and one slave.[5] In 1810, the household included a female 26-44 (likely Margaret), and 8 children (4M 0-9; 1M 10-15; 2F 0-9; 1F 10-15), and 9 slaves.[6]
Margaret died in Prince George's County, Maryland, sometime before the end of 1817 (when Fielder married again, to Margaret's widowed sister Martha).
