Your PETERSEN surname is the first one I've run across that hails from the same general region as my husband's ancestor, Nicoli/Nicholis Petersen, who came to the US from Denmark/Schleswig about 1870 & settled in the Chicago area. He married Anna Svensen/Swensen (from Sweden) and had my husband's great-grandfather John Albert in 1877-88, depending on which records you look at. Any connection that you can see?
I recommend starting with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you create your family profiles. If the link doesn't work in your e-mail, you can find it in the public comments on your profile page.
Need help? Just ask!
Above all, have FUN! :) I hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have!
