I found a few profiles that you own that are ancestors of mine and I was wondering where the information came from.
The profiles are Burford-45 , -71, -73, and -74. Burford-45, Benjamin W. Burford, is my GGGG Grandfather. I've got a book printed and published by some family members in 1994 that has information related to the family going back that far. I have found some discrepancies between what is here and what's in the book, and I didn't know if the book was outdated or if the information here was incorrect.
Let me know when you get a chance what the certainty of your sources is for these folks.
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. It is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like the Virginia Project would be a good fit based on pre-1700 records in your GEDCOM. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
