Biography

Mary Braddock was born on April 13, 1866 in Nassau County, Florida, United States. Her parents were William Braddock and Luanza Higginbotham. She married D C Layton on 11th December 1887 in Nassau County, Florida[1]

In the 1900 federal Census, Mary lived with her husband Doming, three sons, Charley E Layton, Roger W Layton, Frank W Layton, and her mother-in-law Mary. together they all lived at Militia District 32, Folkston Folkston town, Charlton, Georgia, The Census mentions that Mary was married for 12 years and was born Feb 1863, three years before her real birth year.[2]

She died on January 17, 1917 in Charlton County, Georgia, United States, She was buried in the Leigh Cemetery, the same cemetery as Mary's husband who died in 1904
