Biography

Samuel Boynton is a part of US Black heritage.

Samuel was the son of William Boynton.

He was married twice. First to Pearl E. Jackson Boynton, on January 29, 1927. Samuel and Pearl had one child, son Samuel William Jr.

His second marriage was to Amelia Platts, who would become a Civil Rights Activist. They had two sons, William and Bruce Carver and later adopted Amelia's two nieces, Sharon and Germaine.

Samuel worked as a county extension agent when he met Amelia.

Samuel died in 1963.

Samuel died about May 1963 in Selma, Alabama, aged about 61. He is commemorated at Serenity Memorial Gardens, Selma, Dallas County, Alabama.^{[5] [6]}
