Andrew's father William was an Englishman from Salem who settled at Gravesend, western Long Island, ~1645 under Dutch rule.

Andrew was born in 1638. He is the son of William Bowne and Ann Haverland. He is listed in the Calendar of Wills as registering a will May 6 1706 a will, and it was proved June 26, 1708.

Will named granddaughters Ann and Lidea Bowne and a unnamed grandchild. Named Wife as Exe. Lib I page 209 Monmouth NJ Wills.
