1776 Project
Private John Bowman served with Vermont Republic Militia during the American Revolution.

He was born on 19 Dec 1744 in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts [1] and his parents were Elizabeth (Sanders) and Ebenezer Bowman.

John Bowman first married about 1766 to Hannah Elliott. They had one son, before she passed away in 1768.

John Bowman married secondly about 1773 to Sarah Smith and they had five additional children.

He died on 07 Mar 1813 in Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont, USA and was buried at East Clarendon Cemetery in East Clarendon, Vermont, USA. [2]
