Biography

Samuel Bowler was born around 1853, the son of possibly Irish born Ann Halliday and possibly English born Samuel Bowler.^[1]

He was a blacksmith in Kyneton, Victoria, Australia.^[2]

He married Margaret Ann Griffith in 1881 in Victoria.^[3] Their children were:^[4]

• Emma Margaret Bowler (1883?–1968)
• May Agnes Bowler (1885?–1939)
• Elizabeth Mary Bowler (1887–1974)
• Samuel Joseph Bowler (1890–?)
• Caroline Ann Bowler (1892–1935)
• Agatha Maud Bowler (1893?–1961)

In 1905 Samuel Bowler (Blacksmith) and his family lived in Caulfield, Victoria. ^[5]

Samuel died on 18 August 1923 at the Austin Hospital in Heidelberg, Victoria, aged 70 years ^[1][4] and he was interred at the Brighton General Cemetery. ^[6]
