Biography

John was born on 1 April 1886 in England. He was the son of Claude George Bowes-Lyon KG KT GCVO and Cecilia Nina (Cavendish-Bentinck) Bowes-Lyon.[1]

When John was 28 he married Fenella Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis on 29 September 1914 in England. The couple had 5 children: Patricia Bowes-Lyon, Anne Ferelith Fenella Bowes-Lyon, Nerissa Jane Irene Bowes-Lyon, Diana Cinderella Mildred Bowes-Lyon and Katherine Juliet Bowes-Lyon.

John served in the military from 1914 to 1920 in The Great War.

Stockbroker.

John died at the age of 43 on 7 February 1930 in Glamis Castle, Scotland.

John was buried after 7 February 1930 in St Pauls Walden, North Hertfordshire District, Hertfordshire, England.
