Frans Hendrik was born in 1922. He was the son of Folkert Bouman and Marie Heijkoop. He passed away in 1942.

Circumstances regarding the death of Frans Hendrik Bouman in WW2:

Frans Hendrik Bouman died at the age of 20 as a result of a bombing on Sunday December 6, 1942 by the British Royal Air Force, which was intended to hit the Philips factories in Eindhoven, Netherlands (Operation Oyster). These factories were used by the German occupiers. A bomb deflected and hit the house of Frans Hendrik's aunt where he was visiting (after church visit). It was a direct hit and Frans Hendrik and his aunt (Carolina Henriëtta Heijkoop) were killed instantly. The address of the house that was hit was Edisonstraat 165, Eindhoven.

Frans Hendrik worked as a miller's hand in Oosterhout, Netherlands. At the day of his death he was still formally registered with the civil registry in Vlagtwedde, Netherlands.

His name is incorrectly stated in his Eindhoven death certificate, as Frans Frederik. This error has been copied by newspapers, official lists of victims and even by the civil registry of Vlagtwedde. It is certain that it concerns Frans Hendrik Bouman, as is evident from the mention of his parents.

On the front page of the Dagblad van het Zuiden of Saturday, December 12, 1942, Frans F. Bouman, born on 26-6-1922, living in Oosterhout, is listed on the incomplete list of deaths as a result of the Allied bombing of Eindhoven. This paper specifies the incorrect middle initial F.
