Sir William Botreaux, 1st Lord Botreaux was born on 1 September 1337 at Botylet, Lanreath, Cornwall, England; Age 12 in 1349.[1]
He was the son of Sir William Botreaux, Sheriff of Cornwall[2] (b. c 1316, d. 22 Jul 1349 or 8 Aug 1349) and his wife, Isabel de Moels[3]( b. 31 May 1326, d. 19 Jul 1349).
A contract for the marriage of Sir William Botreaux, 1st Lord Botreaux and Elizabeth Daubeney was signed on 14 February 1370. Elizabeth was born circa 1353, and died on 29 March, 1433.

On 20 May, 1377, for William de Botrieux, chevalier, and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Katherine, one of the sisters and heirs of Thomas de Thweng, [a mandate was sent to the escheator to deliver] the moiety of one knight's fee, with appurtenances in Ellale, Scotford, Assheton, Stodagh, Thirnum, Ketelfeld, Fynchecroft, Stalegill, Kliflegh, Bakesterfeld in Esshescogh and Kerneford called Saltacre, in the county of Lancaster, witnessed by John, King of Castile and Leon, and Duke of Lancaster.[5]
Sir William Botreaux, 1st Lord Botreaux of Halton, Kilmersdon, & North Cadbury, Somerset, England, died on 10 August 1391 at age 53.[6]
