European Aristocracy
Sir Thomas Booth was a member of the aristocracy in England.

Per British History Online:

"John, son of Gilbert de Barton, in 1343 granted to Thomas del Booth and his tenants at Bickford common of pasture on Pool Moss in Barton, viz., between Pool Brook and Sandyford under Harley Cliff in Boysnope, and between the fences of Poolfields and the bounds of Worsley upon Chat Moss; Dods. "Roger LaWarre in 1355, after reciting that John La Warre had granted Thomas del Booth 30 acres in Barton at a rent of 29s. 4d., and 30 acres of the waste at a rent of10s.; and that Joan La Warre and Roger had granted to Thomas and Ellen his wife and their heirs 10 acres for the rent of 1d.during the life of Thomas and 5s. afterwards, reduced the total rent to 2d. a year for the life of Thomas and his sons Thurstan and Robert, 44s. 4d. to be paid afterwards, and granted other lands; DeTrafford D. no. 219. (De Trafford D. no. 225) Releases were afterwards given by Alice and Margaret sisters of Robert de Barton, and by Edmund, a son of Gilbert de Barton. (ibid, no. 227, 228)

Children

NOTE: Neither of the daughters listed below are mentioned in his will and are likely descended from a different Thomas.

1. William (dsp), eldest son and heir; [HoP 1386-1421, vol 2, sub John Booth].
2. John, JP, MP, died 1422; married Joan Trafford; left six legitimate sons and five daughters, plus an illegitimate son. Of these, the legitimate children included (a) Sir Thomas, son and heir; (b) Sir Robert, married Douce Venables; (c) John; (d) Roger; (e) William, died 1464, Archbishop of York; (f) Margery, married Sir John Byron, MP; (g) Katherine, married 1stly Sir Thomas Radcliffe, MP, and 2ndly Nicholas Boteler, MP; the natural son was Laurence Booth, Archbishop of York (d 1480). John Booth has a biography in HoP.
3. Henry, MP, died 1446; MI at Barrow near Swarkestone, Derbyshire; married and had a son, John, and a daughter, Alice, wife of Nicholas Fitzherbert, MP. Henry Booth also has a biography in HoP.
4. Katherine, married Gilbert de Culceth: "February 14th 1365: Gilbert de Culceth, aged 19 and upwards, in the church at Manchester, openly acknowledges his marriage to Katherine, the daughter of Thomas de Bothe" [Lancs & Cheshire Historical & Genealogical Notes, J. Rose, vol. 1, Leigh, 1879, p 66, #LXVII]
5. Ellen Booth, said to have married as his first wife, Sir John Radcliffe.

Death

He died as a result of an assault by Robert Worsley and others; presumably this was his nephew, son of his wife's brother William (Visitation of Lancs, ibid). He left a will, under which he set up various chantries and requested to be buried in Eccles church. In Shoresworth (or Mode Wheel), the Street Fields road crossed Worsley brook at Salt Eye by a plat or small bridge, which in 1369 was called "Salt Eye Piatt" in the will of Thomas Booth, of Barton (Harl. MSS., 2,122, fo. 133, Brit. Mus.). He was buried before the altar of St. Katherine, Eccles church, Lancashire, England.

His will mentions his wife together with three sons: William, John and Henry, indicating that his sons were minors in 1368. It doesn't mention any other children for him. It does mention another Thomas Booth and six of his children

Thanks, Dan, for the link for the will synopsis. Since no one responded to my post from January, I've detached the daughters in question with a note in each of their bios.
His will @ http://www-personal.umich.edu/~bobwolfe/gen/mn/m27334x31850.htm, mentions his wife together with three sons: William, John and Henry, indicating that his sons were minors in 1346. It doesn't mention any other children for him. It does mention another Thomas Booth and six of his children. As Darlene suggests the daughters listed on this page are not his. In fact, two were born after his death. Other sources (no confirmation at this time) suggest that Elizabeth was the daughter of a Thomas Booth (c1355-1427), who was the son of a John Booth (1309-1390) of Barrowford Booth, Lincolnshire.

Harry, there are basically no sources for those daughters. If their DOB estimates are accurate, they would be daughters of a different Thomas Booth. Perhaps someone can research and figure it out...
If, in fact, Thomas booth did die in 1368 he could not be the father of Anne B. 1370, Elizabeth b. 1381 and Alice b. 1388. Dates need to be checked.
