Biography
Walter Bolton is Notable.
Walter was born in 1888.[1] He is the son of Amos Bolton and Emma Holding. He married Beatrice Mabel Jones in 1913.[2] She passed away in 1956. An autopsy found arsenic in her system and Walter was accused and found guilty of her murder. He was executed in 1957.[3] He was the last person to be executed in New Zealand. It is possible he was not guilty and the arsenic was in the water of the farm. His son James tried to posthumously prove his innocence. There is also a theory that it was Beatrice's sister Florence who murdered her.
