Biography

Jane Bolt was born in Cornwall, England.

Jane was born in 1842.

She married Richard Doney in North Hill on April 13th, 1865.^[1]

Their first two children, both daughters, were born in North Hill, Cornwall in 1865 and 1867, however, their third child and first son, was born in the Ferryhill/Spennymoor area of Durham in 1870. The family are to be found on the 1871 census in Low Spennymoor.^[2]

Jane is with her family in Tudhoe, Durham, however, her husband Richard doesn't appear on the record with them.^[3] However the family are all together again for the 1891 census in Hetton le Hole, which spans two records with married daughter Jessie and her husband Mark Hunter on the next page..^[4][5]

The family remained in Downs Lane, Hetton le Hole for the 1901 census. ^[6] The whole family spans two records, including a married daughter and several grand children.^[7]

Jane's husband Richard died in 1909. In the 1911 census, widowed Jane, and her youngest son Albert, are both living with her son Samuel and his wife and young family in Hetton le Hole.^[8]
