LITTLETON - Mr. Eugene Furman Bolt, 78, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at his residence on Odell-Arcola Road.Mr. Bolt was born April 21, 1931, in Florence, S.C., to the late Rufus Furman and Norma Patrick Bolt. He was U.S. Army veteran and retired lineman for Stackhouse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Strickland Bolt.

Mr. Bolt is survived by two sons, Rufus Furman "Butch" Bolt II and Martin Louis "Rusty" Bolt, both of Littleton; three daughters, Linda B. Ryder, Susan B. Byrge and Roxanne B. Hux, all of Littleton, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 20, at 281 Odell Arcola Road in Littleton.

A private family service will be held at a later date in South Carolina.

The family would like to extend heart-felt thanks to Eugene's hospice family of Community Home Care and Hospice: Tom, Sabrina, the Rev. Bob, Cheri and Lisa.
