Bennie Bogues was born in Currituck County in 1921. He was the son of George Bogues and Prudence Etheridge. He married Willie Lee Gregory.

Bennie Franklin Bogues died at the age of 50 in Albermarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, on January 23, 1972. He was the son of George Bogues and Prudence Etheride. He was married to Willie Gregory Bogues and resided in Gregory in Currituck County where he was employed in the civil service. The informant was Willie Bogues of Gregory. He was buried January 29 in New Oak Grove Cemetery in Elizabeth City.^[1]

Bennie was in the military and died on 23 January 1972. Their service number was 34 457 940.^[2]
