Biography

Jane was christened 3 July 1831 in Rainham, Kent, England. She was the daughter of Stephen Blundy and Jane Larking.

The Blundy family emigrated to Australia on the Lady Macdonald in 1852.^[1]

She married Richard Bulliman in Victoria, Australia, in 1865. They moved across the Tasman to New Zealand, where they had six children:

2. Arthur Richard Bulliman, 1868-
3. Alfred James Bulliman, 1869-
4. Alice Sarah (Bulliman) Burdan, 1871-
5. Eleanor Douglas (Bulliman) Collis, 1872-1952
6. Edith Maria (Bulliman) Thomson, 1874-

Richard died in 1907. Jane passed away in 1911 in Levin: "The death has occurred of Mrs Bulliman, mother of Mr Alfred and Mr Arthur Bulliman, butchers, of Oxford street, Levin. The deceased lady who was over 80 years of age, had come on a visit to her sons, and was staying with them in Bath street. About a month ago she was taken with illness, which terminated fatally yesterday afternoon. Deep sympathy is extended to the Bulliman family in their sad loss."
