Henry Rayner BLUNDEN, son of Thomas Rayner BLUNDEN and Louisa CRAWFORD, was born on 13 May 1859 in Peg Leg Gully, Eaglehawk, Sandhurst, Colony of Victoria [1], died on 29 November 1942 in Hillston Hospital, Hillston, New South Wales, Australia [2] at age 83, and was buried on 30 November 1942 in Church of England Cemetery, Hillston, New South Wales, Australia. [3][4] The cause of his death was from auricular fibrillation combined with congestive cardiac failure.
Henry married Emma RAY on 7 January 1883 in Hillston, Colony of New South Wales. [5]
Emma was born on 6 April 1862 in "Uardry Station"; near Carrathool, Colony of New South Wales, died on 26 February 1907 in West Wyalong Hospital, West Wyalong, New South Wales, Australia at age 44, and was buried on 28 February 1907 in Church of England Cemetery, West Wyalong, New South Wales, Australia. The cause of her death was from Typhoid Fever.

The cause of death was Auricular Fibrillation combined with Congestive Cardiac Failure. The informant was his brother, E E Blunden, McGee St, Hillston. It indicates he was a Presbyterian.

One of the oldest residents of Hillston district passed peacefully away at the local Hospital on Sunday last (29 Nov 1942) in the person of Mr Henry Raynor BLUNDEN. Deceased was born at Bendigo, had reached the age of 83 years, and was the son of the late Mr and Mrs Thos. R. Blunden of Bendigo.
He first came to Hillston when only a lad, and for several years was a driver for Cobb and Co, on the Carrathool-Booligal-Gunbar runs. He was also one of the early mailmen, being engaged in conveying mails per pack horse in the infancy district.
He married at Hillston when 22, to Miss Emma RAY, of Hay, and seven sons and one daughter were born of this union. His widow predeceased him some time ago. His son Mr Thos Blunden and one daughter, Mrs Green, still reside in Hillston. Two brothers, messrs Fred and Ted Blunden, also survive him, and a large number of grand children and great grand children.
Of late years he had led a retired life, and spent a good deal of time in the Cooragong district. The last months of his life were spent with his daughter, Mrs J. Green, and it was from her home that he entered hospital on Friday last (27 Nov 1942).
The funeral took place on Monday afternoon (30 Nov 1942) in the Church of England portion of the Hillston Cemetery, Rev. C. Williamson (Presbyterian) officiated, and the arrangements were in the hands of Mrs L.D. Wilson.
