Hi Jeff, saw you updating the Thomas Nathaniel Edwards tree. Just so you're aware of the issues with this family group, check out this link: https://edwardsvirginiagenealogy.blogspot.com/2020/01/who-was-thomas-nathaniel-edwards.html

Hi Jason,

We have exchanged communications before. I am very aware of the complicated Edwards history. I put up the post as DNA has come into play as an uncle of mine, finds he is a direct descendant via DNA. Science does make things more interesting. There is one thing you can me with as I was going to try to contact someone about this: somehow I put the wrong mother in. Perhaps that is something you can help me rectify. I would very happy to communicate with you and, while I can not share my Uncle’s login info, I could do a ZOOM with you and show you how his DNA connects through various lines. I am, if COVID permits, going to the UK in March for two months. After that, I would very much like to join the Edwards Project. Thank you, Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Pardon my bad memory, haven't been on here as much lol. I removed Elizabeth Hall as wife/mother from that particular Edwards family for you. Is this a Y-DNA result? The Edwards DNA project shows most tested Edwards descendants are from just two or three haplogroups, but that could still mean a common male-line ancestor from thousands of years ago. https://www.familytreedna.com/public/edwardsdna/default.aspx?section=yresults

Hi Claire,

Thank you for your email. Is there a way to upload items(sources) to the tree? I have an ancestor that is hotly debated and I have much info. It would be great to to up load and share. I also have some emails in which I need to redact a portion of the other person’s email address as I don’t have permission to present it., However the communication between myself and this University of North Carolina professor from 17 years ago is extremely illuminating when it comes to this particular ancestor. Thank you so much, Jeff
