Jon Mogensson Skancke, was born appr 1570, Faxnälden, Näskott, Jämtland, died in 1618, Student 1590 in Helmstedt, and in 1593 he took a master's degree in Rostock August 23, 1593, the year before his sister Gullovs stepson Mogens Lauritzon Blix inscribed on rock Stock. Jon was rector of the Cathedral School in Bergen in 1594, and Parish Priest at Innvik 1598-1617, and Prost over Nordfjord.

Navnet Blix forekommer første gang i 1410; i et brev datert dette året (DN XVI 60) nevnes, blandt en lang rekke undertegnere på jämtenes vegne, en Magnus Blixe. Da Magnus (Mogens, Mons) er det fornavn som forekommer hyppigst i slekten Blix i senere tider, er det sannsynlig at man her har slektens stamfar. Noe mer vites ikke om denne Magnus Blixe.

Blix-2 and I Faxnälden-1 appear to represent the same person because: The birth year is off and is actually around 1530. The rest of the profiles seem to match up.
