Biography

Lawrence was born in 1928. He was the son of Joseph Blight and Ethel Cocks. He passed away in 2010.^[1]

FROST—BLIGHT. —The engagement is announced of Lillian, second daughter of Mr .and Mrs H. K. Frost, to Lawrence, second son of Mr and Mrs J. H. Blight, both of Kadina.^[2]

FROST — BLIGHT.— The marriage of Lillian Dawn, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Frost, of Kadina, to Lawrence Eugene, second son of Mrs. E. M. Blight and the late Mr. J. H. Blight, of Wallaroo Mines, will be solemnised at the Kadina Methodist Church on January 5, 1952, at 6 p.m.^[3]

WEDDING.

Flowers in the Kadina Methodist Church consisting of soft pink and blue hydrangeas spiked with pink and lavender gladioli, looked very beautiful for the wedding of Miss Lillian Frost and Mr Lawrence Blight, on January 5th, at which the Rev. A. M. Davis officiated. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father to the strains of the Wedding March played by Mr Len Beare. She wore a gown of Chantilly lace over satin, with an embroidered tulle veil with a headdress of orange blossom and carried a bouquet of exquisite white flowers. The bride was attended by her two sisters, who were frocked alike in lavender needlerun lace over taffeta, with tulle halos studded in diamente flowers. They carried bouquets of pale lavender, pink and blue which were made by Miss D Hewett and Mrs Larcombe. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Ron Blight, and Mr Roy March. While the bridal party signed the register, Mrs Max Frost very sweetly sang "Oh, Promise Me." After the ceremony, the guests were entertained in the Catholic hall at a tasty wedding breakfast. The bride's mother chose a frock of modesty blue with grey accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a clover moss crepe with brown accessories. The happy couple were showered with confetti as they left the hall. The bride travelled in a blue frock with an embroidered cape collar over a navy lightweight coat with navy accessories. They received congratulations and good wishes from many friends and were the recipients of many beautiful gifts.^[4]
