Blease, Henry H. advertised as manufacturer in tinware, harnesses and stoves, located on Main St. in Newberry, three doors from Stewart & Coates, East of the Court House, page 3, The Rising Sun 3/9/1859; He advertised for sale coffee pots and milk pans, Page 2, The Rising Sun 7/6/1859; He was the census taker in 1859 and was criticized for his returns by the Conservatist Newspaper. Henry H. Blease wrote an editorial on page 2 refuting his criticisms and justifying his returns, Page 2, Rising Sun 8/31/1859; H. H. Blease was elected as second vice president of the first meeting of the Newberry Temperance Society, Page 2, The Rising Sun 10/5/1859; He was nominated as a candidate for Tax Collector, Page 2 The Rising Sun, 10/10/1860; Henry H. Blease was a candidate for Tax Collector of Newberry District, Page 2, The Rising Sun, 11/14/1860; H. Blease advertised His TIN MANUFACTORY has been resumed.
