A robbery was committed at one of our inns a few evenings back, in which a traveller, who, no doubt, had been indulging too freely, was eased of some £8 or £10. Four people, named Charles Alexander, Joseph Blaxter Charles Morrison, and Elizabeth Sturges are in custody ; the money has all been traced, but as the men have not been examined, I refrain from giving the current report.

Mr. Templeton, as Crown Prosecutor, conducted the following cases :—
Charles Alexander and Joseph Blaxter was indicted for stealing from the person of John Triggle in the "Carrier's Arms," Eden, in the month of October last, sundry cheques ; the second count charged them with receiving the same, knowing them to have been stolen. Verdict, guilty. Sentence, twelve months each imprisonment in Parramatta gaol.
