Charles Blaney was born on January 31, 1894 in Caledonia, Prescott, Upper Canada. His parents were James Blaney and Ellen Downing.
He was a member of the 8th C.M.R. (Canadian Mounted Rifles)
He was wounded at the Battle of Vimy Ridge and died of his wounds on April 09, 1917 in Vimy, Pas-de-Calais, France.
He is memorialized at the Vimy Ridge Memorial.
