A. C. Blair, Lyons Pioneer, Taken by Death Last night
Lyons, Jan. 2. - A. C. Blair, 62, a pioneer business man of Lyons, and long prominent in Kansas politics, died suddenly last evening at his home here, of apoplexy. He was a member of the state highway commission in the administration of former Governor Henry J. Allen. Blair recently retired from the hardware business. He had been in ill health. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Joe Blair of Wichita, and Donald Blair, Lyons; and a daughter, Mrs. Archer Miller of Lyons. He recently was mentioned as a possible successor to Senator E. E. Frlzzell as superintendent of the state reformatory at Hutchinson, a position which subsequently went to A. J . Ericsson of Emporia.
