Biography
Marjory was born in 1892 in Manchester, New York. She was the daughter of C. Ledyard Blair and Florence Jennings.
In 1913 she married law student (and future US Circuit Judge) William J Clark. Before their divorce in 1947, they had three children: a daughter and two sons.[1]
- Anne Clark (1914–2008), who served in the New Jersey Senate and as United States Ambassador to New Zealand. (Her memoirs include some interesting details about her parents - see Find A Grave: Memorial #181868469)
- Ledyard Blair Clark (1917–2000), who was a prominent journalist and Democratic Party activist.
- J. William Clark (1916-2012)
During World War II she was the Eastern director of the Camp and Hospital Council of the American Red Cross[2], while her husband served as a Lieutenant Colonel. However, after the war they divorced and he subsequently remarried.[3]
She passed away in 1975, aged 83 at her home in Hightstown, New Jersey.
